New River Community Action (NRCA) works with our community’s most vulnerable residents, including the homeless, ex-offenders, the disabled, and struggling young families. NRCA offers a variety of programs to improve the lives of low-income people. Some services address basic needs such as food, shelter, and utilities. Comprehensive early childhood programs promote school readiness, healthy families, and effective parenting.
NRCA offers help and hope through services that meet basic needs, strengthen families, and promote economic stability. NRCA’s focus is not only to fulfill basic needs but to build brighter futures. NRCA helps over 8,000 individuals each year improve their lives by providing them essential services and life-changing opportunities through educational and case management support, as well as accessing available affordable housing, food, health care, crisis assistance, and more.
