Join us for a community meal for a good cause with the opportunity to take home a bowl generously donated by one of our local potters. The annual Empty Bowls fundraising event will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Floyd County High School. Empty Bowls supports NRCA’s Floyd County Backpack Program. The Backpack Program has served Floyd County students in all five schools and NRCA Head Start this school year with over 3,800 meals provided each month to students that could likely otherwise go hungry over the weekend. Since 2006, the program has provided over a half million meals.
Each meal+bowl ticket holder can pick out a handmade ceramic bowl made by a local potter. All guests receive soup, bread, dessert and a drink to enjoy with live music. Ticket prices are $25 with a bowl for adults, $20 for children age 6-12 with a bowl; age 5 and under are free (no bowl); $15 for meal only for adults with no bowl; $10 for children age 6-12 meal only with no bowl, and bowl-only tickets will be available at the event upon entry with a meal ticket holder. There is a limit of one bowl per attendee. There will be no entry for anyone wishing to just buy a bowl, this is intended to be a community meal fundraising event, not a bowl sales event.
