NRCA Programs and Services

The mission of New River Community Action, Inc. (NRCA) is to promote and support the well-being and self-reliance of individuals, families and communities. Community Action Agencies are well known proponents of self-sufficiency.  “A Hand Up, Not A Hand Out” is our motto. We strive to achieve our purpose through community organization and empowerment, i.e., helping local communities to recognize and address their own poverty conditions.
